Admission Rules for B.Ed. Course Under Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University, Kolkata

B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidate with at least 50% marks for General/OBC & 45% marks for SC/ST candidates either in the "Bachelor Degree or Master Degree" can apply.
2. Fresher General/OBC Candidate upto 35 years and for SC/ST upto 40 years can apply.
3. Candidates should be Graduate in a school subject from a recognized University.
4. Candidates should be Graduate in a school subject from a recognized University.Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55%marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E/ B. Tech. in the row of Honours Degree. M.E./M. Tech result (if any) will be entered in the Master's Degree row.
5. Honours Graduates in school subject should enter the Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor's degree (Honours).
6. In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects should be entered in the row of Bachelor's degree (General)..
7. Teachers of recognized Secondary Schools having at least 1 year approved teaching experience and having requisite qualification shall have to apply online through the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary) for being considered as "Deputed Candidate".
8. Fresher Candidates must have an Honours degree in any of the below-mentioned method subjects. OR  Fresher Candidates must have studied one of the below-mentioned method subjects with a minimum of 300 Marks as pass or Subsidiary or General subject in graduation level.
9. Commerce, Economics, Political Science and Sociology are not offered as Method Subject.

• All the applicants have to upload copies of all Academic documents right from ICSE/MP/CBSE onwards and other likewise S.C., S.T., O.B.C. & P.W.D certificate.
• In addition to the above the Deputed Candidate must produce Original M.C/ G.B Permission, Approval Copy of the D.I. of School countersigned by the Headmaster/Headmistress. That very letter will be countersigned by the D.I. of School
  without which their admission will be turn down.
• Applicants are asked to upload photocopy of (a) Aadhar Card, (b) Voter’s ID and (c) Recent color passport size photo.

Attention :-  After filling online form, hard copies of all the uploaded documents along with filled-in online application forms must be submitted in the college during office hour.

Note :-  Selected candidates are asked to submit original Certificate of Migration from their respective Universities at the time of admission.

2. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be as per West Bengal Government Rule. 
3. Admission to the B.Ed. Programme is provisional. Admission will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the declaration in the forms submitted online.
